Perhaps one tyrant has been overthrown (if you don't side with him, of course), now it's time to meet another. Return to the Old Mormon Fort and recruit Arcade Gannon again if he is not already with you and if you want to start the companion questFor times long gone. Once you're done, make a quick trip to Cottonwood Cove and make your way to the harbor along the Colorado. You'll find Cursor Lucullus here, who will take you on a raft down Colorado to Caesar's fortress if you talk to him.

When you reach the fortress, a legionnaire will stop you and demand that you hand over "all forbidden items". This includes weapons, chemicals and your Platinum Coin. Ask which items have been banned and pass [Speech 35] to keep your more mild chemicals (Stimpaks and Med-X) and keep your guns if possible. You can get your stuff from some of the locked gun lockers nearby if you steal the gun locker key from the legionnaires main gate guard, but that makes the whole camp hostile whether you're being watched or not, so no don't worry.

From the entrance to the Fort, head northeast across the ditch to find Dale Barton, the Legion's boon merchant, who will offer his services to you. You can also ask him about Caesar, the legate Lanius, and himself, and challenge him to a caravan duel if you're still interested. Once you're done with Dale, head northwest through the gate and up the hill, up some stairs to reach the inside of the fortress.

Blood and sand¶
From the gate separating the inner and outer fortress, head west to find the arena… because what fake Roman camp would be complete without an arena? Talk to Otho outside to learn more about Legate Lanius and the arena. If you are male, you can compete in the arena. No girls allowed. Yes, the patriarchy is real in Caesar's Legion. There are a few things to note about these fights; first, you are not allowed to keep the toys you have smuggled in. Only machetes and light gladiator armor were released. If your hand-to-hand combat skills aren't very impressive, you may not want to play. On the other hand, with the Ultimate Edition and the build suggested in this guide, you should have a decent score in Melee, Piercing, and Conqueror, making it a breeze.
In the first round you have to face two Slavs who have no choice but to fall over and die. In the second round, you have to fight a captured NCR soldier named Sergeant Andrews, who is much stronger than the slaves you fought before. In the third round, you'll face an NCR ranger named Stella, who was captured during the Legion's attack on Ranger Station Charlie. She's... quite strong, even though she fights unarmed. Put it down and Otho will be impressed. Your reward for this? After each round you will receive some Caesar's Legion Fame.

Problem with Siris powder¶
Head north of the arena and find Siri near the food tent and ask her about her medical background to give her a not-so-subtle hint that she's struggling to supply the camp with healing powder. If you pass the [Speech 20] or [Survival 20] test, you can tell her how to make better use of your ingredients to gain some Caesar's Legion Fame. You can also ask her about herself and about Legate Lanius.
You can teach a slave named Siri how to better manage her supplies (left) and find a little girl named Melody whose doll was taken by a vicious legionnaire (right).
Melody and Antoni¶
Continue west from the dining tent, turning south if necessary, then climb west along the ledge to reach the lower part of the camp. Search the tents along the way as many contain lockers with mediocre weapons, Legion armor and a single Legion coin. When you're done, take the stairs south and turn east in the tent to find a gate with the young slave Melody behind it. Test [Speech 50] to get her to talk, after which she will ask you to retrieve the sergeant plush doll from Antony.
Exit the brahmin pen and head north to find the stairs. Climb them and then go northeast to find another set of stairs. Once on top of them, continue east past the broken howitzer to find Antony standing next to the Legion mongrel named Lupa. Talk to the crazy dog trainer and ask about Melody the bear and he'll offer you one...if you fight four of his best dogs armed only with a machete. You can also convince him to give it back with a [Speech 50] check, a [Reputation] check (that is, if you're popular enough in the Legion), or you can just steal it from him. If you choose the fight option, you can try the check [Trade 50] to convert him from four dogs to two, because four dogs would be a terrible waste of a silly bear. Killing the dogs in the arena will earn you some Caesar's Legion Fame for the feat, and better yet, a distraught Antony will have to hand over Sergeant Teddy.

One way to get Sergeant Teddy back is to fight some of Antony's dogs (left). You can then return Sergeant Teddy to Melody or prepare her for harsh treatment by the Legion (right).
It's time to choose who you'll work for in the final part of the game. If you want to side with Caesar's Legion, go to"Caesar's Legion"part of the guide. If you want to side with the NCR, you'll learn how to solve their quests in"Republic of New California"Section. Mr. Recent Tasks The house are treated in"Mr. House"chapter, while taking over New Vegas for yourself is described in the chapter"wild card"part of the guide. And if you brought Arcade Gannon to those meetings with Caesar, chances are he's ready to embark on a companion quest. For times long gone. If not, don't worry too much as there will be other chances to activate later if you side with Mr. House, NCR or Rogue States.

Before you leave, ask Antony if you can use Lupa's brain for your cyberdog. He'll happily agree... if you defeat Lupa in the arena first. It seems to be a common topic... anyway, if you kill her, you can loot her body for Lupa's Brain, a third brain you can use to repair Rex. This gives Rex the Blood of the Legion perk which increases his DT. You'll also get more Caesar's Legion Fame for killing Lupa in the arena.
Anyway, when you're done killing the Legion Mongrels, go back to Melody and give her the bear for some Karma...

Caesar¶
All quests currently available in the Fort have been discussed. Don't put it off any longer, it's time to meet Caesar. Go to his tent in the middle of the camp and talk to the mighty Caesar. The Legion may have pardoned you, but Caesar has not forgotten your deeds and will punish you for your deeds against him - if indeed you did - at Nelson, Camp McCarran, and his schemes with the White Gloves Society and Omertas. After enumerating your sins, he will reveal why he brought you here, tell you what you will do for him, give you a platinum chip, and send you on your way. If you say, "How can I serve your legion, Caesar?" you get some Caesar's Legion Fame, but other than that you don't have much room for maneuver in this conversation... just don't start a fight here. Better to blast through the whole camp with your good weapons than try to defeat him and his praetorians with love and hate or other weapons.
Caesar wants Mr. House gone (if he's already dead or disabled, Caesar doesn't seem to know) and wants you to start destroying his bunker underneath the camp. One of the rewards for this quest? Lets you decide how Benny dies if you let Benny escape The Tops. Speaking of which, talk to Benny in the tent north of Caesar's courtyard. Now you can talk to him and find out more about his background and motivations if you haven't already. You can also release him (brutally or surreptitiously), but since that will make the Legion hostile…sorry, Benny. You wouldn't survive the fight anyway.

If your Legion Fame is high, Lucius will teach you unarmed attack in Legion (left). Be sure to get the Legion Slave Ledger from Caesar's tent complex (right) before you leave.
Before you leave Caesar's party, talk to the leader of the Praetorian Guard, Lucius, and ask him why he's unarmed, then test [Unarmed 50] to give you the learned Legion Assault technique. thrilling. You're probably the only person in Mojave who knows both the Ranger Defeat and Legion Assault skills. Talk to him again and if you're "similar" or "perfect" he should give you the key to the Legion's hideout. Additionally, ask him about yourself, Legate Lanius, and Burnt to learn a bit more about the Legion. Finally, ask him what you can do to help the Legion and he'll tell you about their broken howitzer. Agree to help start the questI hear you knocking.

Once you're done with Lucius, loot the [very hard] locker in Caesar's room if you can, as it contains excellent loot including 2000 caps, a power fist, and a T-45d power helmet. Then go back to the courtyard and examine the text to the south, where you will find the Legion Slave Ledger on the table. Picking this up now will help with the NCR quest later, so you might as well grab it while you're here.

You and what army?¶
Now you're stuck helping Caesar until you're done with the bunker, you can't leave it, fast travel or anything. So it's time to go there. Head west from Caesar's tent and go down to find a stone building on the west side of the camp. Complete the Weather Monitoring Station and you'll be accosted by the Weather Station Ranger once inside who will return your gear...which is a good thing considering what lies ahead soon. Head east from the ranger to find the weather station console and let the console and platinum chip make sweet, sweet love. Some doors open to the north, allowing you to descend into the bunker.
Enter the Securitron vault and head to the small room to the south dominated by the terminal where Mr. House will introduce himself…assuming he's still capable, of course. Everything that Mr. House is a story about a place that, simply put, is where Mr. House's Securitron army is stationed. He wants you to run them so he can match the power to NCR and Caesar's Legion. A self-interested courier would also be interested, but for his own gain. If you plan to ally with the NCR or Caesar's Legion, this place is a dangerous disaster that needs to be destroyed. After all, who knows when the next Benny will show up and try to use this power?

Use a Platinum Token to access Mr. The house under the Fortification Hill (on the left). You'll make your life much easier if you hack a few terminals and disable the security in the bunker (on the right).

There are two things to note about this bunker; first, it's irradiated with light everywhere, which gives you one RAD for the entire time you're here. Secondly, there are robots roaming the area including Protectrons, Sentry Bots and Turrets. The first problem cannot be solved, but the second can. Go down the stairs to the south and scrape the Protectron. Continue south through the south door to find the three terminals; Sentrybot Ops Terminal, Turret Ops Terminal [Medium] and Protectron Ops Terminal [Hard]. Hack the two hackable terminals if you can to get rid of the feeling of security in the bunker. If you lose both, you can just roll to the target, optionally whistling.
Before you leave the room, grab the plasma rifle, ammo crate, and two grenade crates in the southeast corner of the room and head back down the hallway. Head west and examine the door to the north to find a door junction box that you can open with the [Repair 60] test. In front of you, there are four neutral Sentry Bots that you can choose if you have a good Sneak or [Robotics Expert] score. However, these bots won't become active until later when you sabotage the bunker here, so you might not have to mess with them at all.

Continue west through a rectangular room guarded by two Protectrons and a Turret, pausing long enough to look at the Securitron army outside the windows. Head west through the next door, smash the Turret in the bend of the corridors ahead, then head south to reach the generator room guarded by Protectrons. Turn them off and then search the three side rooms that exit from this room; one north, two south. In every room you will find a Power Regulator, which is surprisingly easy to destroy. Destroy them with a rifle - the plasma rifle you picked up earlier works fine if you have nothing else - to make the bunker reactor unstable. After blowing up the first Regulator, the Sentrybot will be released if it's still active, and after the third you'll have to get out of here as fast as possible. It might also be a good idea to fire Rad-X before destroying the last Regulator, as the bunker will be flooded with RADS (about 6 per second).

To activate the Securitron army under Fortification Hill, insert the platinum token into the Securitron Operations Console (left). Alternatively, to destroy the bunker, destroy each of the three power regulators (on the right).
However, if destruction isn't your goal, go through the door to the west, deal with another Turret, then climb the stairs north to reach the "SYSTEMS ROOM". Three more Turrets await you here, after which you can insert the Platinum Chip into the Securitron Operations Console to upgrade and activate your entire army. Do this if you want a free and independent New Vegas (ruled by Mr. House or yourself) or destroy the bunker if you want to support Caesar's Legion or NCR. After fulfilling Caesar's will in the bunker under Fortification Hill, you can do whatever you want with Benny. Fighting him fair in the arena is a fair and satisfying way to get revenge (left), but you can also choose to crucify him in front of a more sadistic, vengeful courier (right).

Whether you choose to destroy the bunker or activate the Securitrons, return to Caesar and he will consider you have done his bidding. It seems he has gone unchallenged too long to be a skeptic. Now you can talk to him about his Legion and learn more about him right from the mouth of a horse... or a bull, as the case may be. His first task for you is to kill Mr. House if you haven't already done so. If so, he'll mention Mr. House's obituary and send you to form an alliance with the Boomers, but that - and subsequent requests from Caesar and his minions - will be placed in"Caesar's Legion"part of the guide.
