Tanzania Road Trip: huur op eigen houtje een auto door Tanzania
Reizen met een huurauto in Tanzania geeft u niet alleen alle vrijheid om te gaan en staan waar u maar wilt, maar u kunt ook naar huis gaan met een uniek verhaal. In Tanzania rijden ze aan de andere kant van de weg. Je moet er even aan wennen, maar vooral omdat je op straat van alles kunt vinden. Van rondrennende kippen en mensen die grote kruiwagens duwen tot overstekende koeien en spelende kinderen. Snel rijden wordt afgeraden als je naar Tanzania reist en is zelfs niet mogelijk vanwege het aantal kuilen en verkeersdrempels. Met weinig straatnamen en weinig wegwijzers in Tanzania kom je soms op onverwachte en interessante plekken, zoals kleurrijke lokale markten of prachtige verborgen watervallen.

De hoogtepunten van je reis naar Tanzania zijn waarschijnlijk deze twee nationale parken, de thuisbasis van een verbazingwekkende hoeveelheid verschillende dieren in het wild en een werkelijk prachtige natuur. Je kunt hier niet alleen komen, maar wat nog belangrijker is, je kunt rondkijken en je best doen om de Big Five te spotten. Onze jeeptour was erg gevaarlijk: we werden tegengehouden door een kudde olifanten en moesten dus in het donker een andere weg naar ons kamp zoeken, we kwamen vast te zitten in de modder naast leeuwen en apen renden over onze jeep. Een spectaculair natuurverschijnsel in Afrika is de migratie van de wildebeesten (de Grote Migratie). Miljoenen gnoes, wildebeesten, zebra's en gazellen trekken jaarlijks naar de Serengeti (Tanzania) en Masai Mara (Kenia). Als je het Serengeti National Park in mei bezoekt, heb je een goede kans om het te zien, maar het komt het meest voor tussen juli en oktober. Toen ik op reis was in Tanzania, kon mijn geluk niet groter zijn toen een eindeloze kudde gnoes besloot om voor onze auto de weg over te steken. Het geluid was oorverdovend en zelfs de grond beefde van het aantal rennende dieren. Een ervaring die je nooit zult vergeten.
Jezoro Manyara
U kunt in dit nationale park met uw eigen auto rijden. In Nederland moet je soms hard remmen om een konijn of een hert aan de overkant te krijgen. Als het ineens verandert in een gigantische olifant of een giraf, besef je pas echt dat je in Afrika bent, en groeit je respect voor de natuur op dat moment ineens heel snel.
Een spannende ontmoeting met de Maasai-stam
Wanneer je een auto huurt om door Tanzania te reizen, kun je ervoor kiezen om een onverharde weg te nemen om te zien waar je uitkomt. Misschien kom je de Maasai-stam tegen in de middle of nowhere. Deze nomadische stammen behielden hun oude tradities. Het zijn kleurrijke mensen met veel versieringen zoals oorbellen die de oorlellen enorm verlengen. Ze wonen bijvoorbeeld in kleine huisjes. hoop. Reizigers bezoeken sommige stammen, maar zeker niet alle. Dit werd duidelijk tijdens een bezoek aan de Maasai-stam buiten de gebaande paden tijdens ons bezoek aan Tanzania. De familie kon hun ogen niet geloven, ze wilden mijn T-shirt en controleerden of mijn huid en haar echt waren. Deze spontane ontmoeting was heel bijzonder.
Verken het tropische eiland Zanzibar per auto
op het eilandZanzibarEen auto huren is geweldig. Dan kun je gemakkelijk het hele eiland overzien en stoppen waar je maar wilt. Naast het witte zandstrand aan de ene kant van het eiland, heeft Zanzibar ook een bijzonder restaurant dat aan de andere kant van het eiland niet mag ontbreken. Dit restaurant is gebouwd op rotsen. Daarom heet het ook The Rock. Het is bij eb te voet te bereiken en bij vloed per boot. Dit restaurant is afgelegen en het gemakkelijkst te bereiken met de auto.
Overnachting in Tanzania
Het gemak van het nemen van een auto is dat je tot aan de deur van het appartement kunt. Misschien willen ze zelfs uw auto parkeren in hun garage, op hun eigendom of zelfs de helft van uw huis als u buiten de grote steden wilt wonen. Bij het kiezen van goedkope accommodatie kun je bijvoorbeeld een oude kerk vinden met een paar bedden. Ga je voor wat luxer, dan vind je meestal een prachtige tuin, soms met de meest waanzinnige uitzichten. Zeer divers!
